Description
Description
The Jourdaine wall sconce pairs a hand-worked iron frame with a Tiffany-style glass shade, assembled from individually set glass pieces in a mix of colors. The dome shape directs light both up the wall and down toward the floor, giving the fixture presence as a sculptural object even when unlit. Built for standard wall mounting, it uses a backplate and junction-box connection rather than a cord, keeping the installation clean and permanent.
An E26 socket accepts LED, incandescent, or fluorescent bulbs up to standard wattage, so the color temperature and brightness can be matched to the room. Left bare, the glass diffuses light into a soft, colorful wash across the wall rather than a single hot point, suited to ambient or accent lighting. The fixture is rated for indoor, dry-location use only and is wired for hardwired connection, not plug-in operation.
The iron body measures 5.9 inches wide, 11.0 inches high, and 12.2 inches deep, sized to sit beside a headboard, mirror, or seating area without crowding the wall. It ships preassembled and ready for a licensed electrician to wire into a junction box in minutes. Maintain the glass and iron finish with a soft, dry cloth; avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners that could dull the ironwork or discolor the glass.
